MasterBus 90 Compatibility Notes – simple breakdown:

Key Prep

First, update your MasterPiece 90 with Advant Controller 110 system software.Connect MasterPiece 90 to Advant Fieldbus 100 using a CI625 module.

Compatibility Rules

  • MasterBus 90 and AF100 work as slaves (no bus admin for CI625).
  • Disable CI625’s MASTER terminal via MasterPiece 90’s DB element to turn off admin mode.
  • Don’t use AF100 gear directly on MasterBus 90 – convert the bus to AF100 if you need to add AF100 equipment.

DataSet Config Tips

  • CI625: No DataSet Peripherals, but up to 100 DataSets can be set up.
  • CI626 (Advant Controller 110): Supports DataSet config.
  • CI520/CI522 (Advant Controller 400) & CI525/CI526/CI527 (AdvaSoft/AC 100 OPC): No DataSet config.
  • Advant Controller 400 Series: No AF100 DataSet definitions.

Redundant Line Error Detection

CI625’s slave mode doesn’t support this.Add one AF100 communication interface at each end of the bus for full detection.
